Windows Mail (Vista) - Account Setup

  1. Open Windows Mail
  2. Click Tools
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click Add
  5. Select Account Type
    Click E-mail Account
    Click Next
  6. Your Name
    Enter your name you wish to be displayed with your e-mail address.
    Click Next
  7. Internet E-mail address
    Enter your full e-mail address.
    Click Next
  8. Set up e-mail servers
    Ensure My incoming mail server type is a POP3 is selected.
    Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: Enter the POP server info provided by PSNI (usually mail.domainname.com)
    Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP): Enter the SMTP server info provided by PSNI (usually smtp.domainname.com)
    Outgoing server requires authentication box: Check
    Critical Note: If this is not checked you will not be able to send e-mail through PSNI mail system.
    Click Next
  9. Internet Mail Logon
    E-mail username: Enter your full e-mail address
    Password: Enter your e-mail password (Case sensitive)
    Remember password box: Checked
    Click Next
  10. Congratulations
    Click Finish
