Windows Outlook 2007 Account Setup

- Open Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Click Tools
- Click Accounts Settings
- Ensure E-mail is selected
- Click New

Choose E-mail Service
Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP
- Click Next

Auto Account Setup
Check box at bottom: Manually configure server settings or additional server types
- Click Next

Choose E-mail Service
Ensure Internet E-mail is selected
- Click Next

User Information
Your Name: Enter your name you wish to be displayed with your e-mail address. E-Mail Address: Enter your full e-mail address.

Server Information
Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server: Enter the POP server info provided by PSNI (usually mail.domainname.com) Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter the SMTP server info provided by PSNI. (usually smtp.domainname.com)

Logon Information
User Name: Enter your full e-mail address Password: Enter your password. (Passwords are case sensitive) Remember password Normally left checked Require logon on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) Do not check this box.
- Click More Settings button
- Click Outgoing Server tab.
- Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
Critical Note: If this is not checked you will not be able to send e-mail through PSNI mail system. Ensure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
- Click OK
- Click Next
- Click Finished
- Click Close
